Interested in Learning More About a Dissolution Study?

Mount Morris residents deserve clear information about how our local government functions and what options may exist for strengthening our community’s future.

This form is not a petition. It is simply a way to gather questions, measure interest, and ensure that any conversation about a potential dissolution study is informed, respectful, and driven by residents themselves.

Your responses help shape what information is shared next.

Before You Begin

Thank you for taking the time to participate.

This survey is designed to take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. We encourage you to begin only when you have sufficient time to thoughtfully review and answer each question in full.

No demographic or contact information is required to complete the survey. However, all other survey questions are required and cannot be completed in portions. This ensures that responses reflect complete and considered input from each participant.

The purpose of this survey is to better understand community priorities, concerns, and questions so that future website content, informational materials, and public discussions can be tailored to the needs of residents who are interested in learning more.

If the time comes to formally present community feedback to the Village Board and Mayor, responses may be summarized in aggregate form to communicate the collective wants and needs of the community. Individual responses will not be attributed or published without explicit consent.

We appreciate your time and your willingness to contribute to a thoughtful, constructive conversation about the future of Mount Morris.

This site exists to help residents understand what village dissolution would mean, what it would change, and what it would not. By providing clear information and context, it aims to support thoughtful discussion and careful consideration, rather than rushing toward a predetermined outcome. Dissolution may or may not be the right answer—but understanding it allows the community to ask better questions, engage more openly, and decide together whether it offers a more positive and sustainable path forward for Mount Morris.
